CRWA 2008 Education and Exhibitor Expo
April 29 – May 1, 2008 - South Lake Tahoe, CA

CRWA has been hosting an annual Education and Exhibitor Expo for several years now. We strive to provide an opportunity for water and wastewater personnel to earn necessary contact hours in a short period of time in one training location. This year we had our largest Expo with over 180 class attendees, 54 exhibitors and many guests.

Our Expo is also an opportunity for CRWA to recognize companies, systems and individuals who are achieving excellence in this industry. We were pleased to award Lonnie Danel from the Willow Creek Community Services District with the Water Operator of the Year award. Dave Burns from Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District took home the Wastewater Operator of the Year award. Honorable Mentions will be given to James J. Peacher (Springville Public Utility District), J.P. Bartkowski (Pauma Valley Water Co.) and Danny Johnson (City of Pismo Beach).

Our Environmental Protection Award was awarded to two recipients this year: City of Chowchilla and Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District. Both projects were substantial in their scope and ability to have a positive impact on the environment.

Hach, Inc . received our Associate Member of the Year award, and finally, the City of Mt. Shasta earned the Best Tasting Water in California award. This makes them eligible to compete in National Rural Water's national Best Tasting Water Taste Test next year.

Congratulations to all of you! It was a pleasure being able to recognize your efforts, dedication and commitment to excellence.

Event highlights included the awards banquet, comedy of Jon Reep (bless his heart) and finishing up after 24 HOURS of classes!
