Rural Water Taste Test
Enter a sample of your system's water into the 2008 California Rural Water Taste Test. A panel of judges will taste the entries for clarity, bouquet, and taste. The final round of the taste test will take place at the Tuesday Water Taste Test Luncheon where the winner of the “Best Tasting Water in California ” will be selected! Bottoms up! Contestants must deliver water samples in a sanitized nonporous container to the Expo registration desk no later than 10:30am, Tuesday, April 29, 2007.
Environmental Protection Award
Has your system come up with an innovative way to manage your water supply while maintaining environmental integrity? If so, this is the award for you! Entrants for the Environmental Protection Award will be evaluated on their unique purpose in protecting California 's precious environment and limited resources. The winner will be forwarded to NRWA for their Exemplary Efforts in Environmental Protection Award as the California nominee!
Water Operator of the Year and Wastewater Operator of the Year
This is your chance to brag about your system's personnel! Do you have a water and/or wastewater operator who goes above and beyond to excel in their management of your water system? If so, we want to know about them and give them the recognition they deserve for being the best in the business! Each CRWA member can submit one nomination in each field. Selection of winners will be based on a submitted example of how the nominee has contributed to the system's operations and their commitment to the system and its constituents. Additionally, information on the nominee's achievement both within and outside of the system as well as letters of recommendation will also be permitted for use in the selection process. This is a great way to honor your exemplary water and/or wastewater operator!
